BBoys2016July 7, 2016 - Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino proclaimed Wednesday, July 6, 2016 to be Beach Boys Day in Westchester as he welcomed the iconic band back to the County Center for an evening of all-American rock ‘n’ roll.

Thousands attended the show in the historic Art Deco venue which featured original Beach Boys lead singer Mike Love and keyboardist Bruce Johnston. Joining the legendary group was the actor John Stamos, best known as Uncle Jesse from the sitcom Full House. Stamos displayed his chops as he played the guitar, keyboards and drums throughout the show.

“The Beach Boys are a genuine national treasure,” said Astorino. “There’s nothing more American, nothing cooler than seeing the Beach Boys on a hot summer night.”

The concert was one of many musical offerings throughout the county this summer. From the County Center, to Caramoor, to park settings, there’s something for everyone in Westchester.
