Teens can beat the summer doldrums as they socialize, work on athletic skills and stay physically active, all in air-conditioned comfort, during Open Gym nights during July at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
During the program, teens in grades six through twelve can have fun while they shoot hoops, play chess, cards or other board games. Or they can compete in traditional recreational activities like foosball, Noc hockey and ping pong. Participants will be supervised by adult staff of the County Parks Department. Admission and parking at the County Center lot are free for these events.
Open Gym will run Mondays through Fridays, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., from Tuesday, July 5, through Friday, July 29.
The Open Gym program is sponsored by Westchester County Parks.
