Mamaroneck student makes it to Intel finalsGrace Phillips, a senior at Mamaroneck High School, has been selected as a finalist in the Intel Science Talent Search for her report titled, "A Study of HCAA Conjugates in the Context of the Domestication History of S. Melongena."

Phillips, pictured here with County Executive Robert P. Astorino and her teacher Guido Garbarino, is one of just 40 finalists competing in the nationwide search.

Phillips and eighteen other Westchester County high school students were selected as semifinalists in the prestigious competition and were congratulated by Astorino at a reception held earlier this week.

In March, Phillips will travel to Washington, D.C. to display her work, meet with scientists, and compete for the top award of $100,000.
