March 31, 2017 - Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino welcomed small business from around the tri-state area to the 22 Annual WCBS Small Business Breakfast at the DoubleTree in Tarrytown on Tuesday, March 28. The breakfast, which was co-sponsored by the Westchester County Office of Economic Development, is the radio station’s longest running signature event.
“Although we have number of large businesses that have established themselves in our county, we have just as many successful small businesses,” said Astorino. “Westchester had a business friendly environment with a talented workforce, competitively priced office space, a great quality of life, and convenient access to Manhattan and other destinations. This is why Westchester is the smart spot for business.”
Joe Connolly, WCBS’s well-known business reporter, hosted the event and discussed this year’s theme, “understanding the new economic environment,” with the guest panelist, former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleisher. Connolly and Fleisher discussed with business owners how businesses can position themselves to grow and increase profits in the coming year. Fleisher also offered advice on how small businesses can focus their marketing message to optimize their success.
