KidsFair14Spring is finally here, and it's time to join Westchester County Parks Department as they collaborate with radio station WHUD and other sponsors and contributors in hosting this year's 100.7 WHUD Kids' Fair, Saturday, March 29, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

Hundreds of families with toddlers through teens will enjoy a day of educational displays, games and interactive exhibits, along with a live radio broadcast.

Westchester County Parks will be featured on the stage offering a sampling of programs and a glimpse at parks and services from the animals of Muscoot Farm in Somers to what can be discovered by hiking along many trails through the more than 18,000 acres of county parkland.

Kids can exercise at the Fit-Mobile with hula hoops, jump ropes and other fun activities to keep fit or hop on a bike courtesy of Danny's Cycles for a virtual ride along the Bronx River Parkway ala Bicycle Sunday sponsored by Con Edison and Friends of Westchester County Parks, Inc.

Information and applications for the county's summer camp programs including Summer Ecology, the Westchester Summer Music Center, the Slam Dunk Basketball, the Perfect Pitch and Swing Baseball Camp and the Girls Volleyball camps, as well as the Hole-in-One Junior Golf Camp will be available.

Westchester residents can purchase a County Park Pass allowing them access to parks, pools, beaches and other facilities, and providing discounts in user and parking fees. And for the first time this year, county residents can take advantage of a Kids Fair exclusive: For each season swim pass purchased at the fair, receive a complimentary one-day guest pass valid at Glen Island Beach in New Rochelle, Saxon Woods Pool in White Plains, Tibbetts Brook Pool in Yonkers, or Willson's Waves in Mount Vernon. Playland season passes will also be available for purchase and birthday parties can be booked during Kids Fair as well.

New entertainment this year includes performances by pianist Christopher McGinnis and vocalist Gabrielle Sansone as well as a special appearance by Amanda Mason, Miss New York 2013.

Admission is $5 for children and $10 for adults.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the H.O.P.E. for Youth Foundation and other children's charities in the Hudson Valley.

The 100.7 WHUD Kids Fair is presented by the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, Westchester Subaru, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Westchester County Parks with support from Con Edison, News 12 Westchester, Westchester Family Magazine and Westchester Parent Magazine.
