Westchester County Executive George Latimer has announced an agreement between the County of Westchester and the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc., Local 1000, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, Westchester County Local 860, Unit 9200 on a new five-year agreement retroactively beginning on Jan. 1, 2023 and ending on Dec. 31, 2027.

The agreement covers compensation, insurance, certain leaves and other items pertaining to the County’s dedicated workforce.

Latimer said: “Westchester County residents rely on the services our workforce provides each and every day. This agreement is a manifestation of the efforts of building a strong relationship with the dedicated public servants who call the County an employer each day. We respect the professionalism of those who work in government service.”

CSEA President Hattie Adams said: “Our Union is committed to serving CSEA Unit 9200 members, County Employees of Westchester, and this agreement is key to helping us do so. For our thousands of members, this five-year deal provides stability during unstable times and will allow us to continue our work for the people of Westchester. I thank County Executive Latimer, Deputy County Executive Jenkins and their Administration for their commitment to helping us better serve and also thank the CSEA Unit 9200 Negotiation Committee, CSEA Lead Negotiator Larry Sparber and all of our members who voted to approve this agreement.”

Latimer added: “This is an agreement that benefits both CSEA members as well as Westchester County by providing stability and predictability in uncertain economic times. The negotiating teams from both the County and the union worked together to come to an agreement on the priorities of CSEA leadership. We commend CSEA President Hattie Adams for her extraordinary leadership and hard work on behalf of her members.”

The agreement has been approved by the Board of Legislators and was voted on and approved by the union. County Departments with largest number of CSEA workers include Social Services, Environmental Facilities, Parks, Recreation & Conservation, Health and Public Work & Transportation.
