During his weekly Westchester briefing, Latimer discussed:

  • Guest: County Office of Tourism & Film Director Natasha Caputo joined to discuss Film Production Economic Impact Survey
  • Hurricane Fiona relief efforts

Westchester is a top destination for film, television and commercial production, now to accurately measure the film industry’s economic impact, the County’s Office for Tourism & Film has asked our municipal, business, hotels and nonprofit partners that hosted media production in the last two years to complete an online confidential economic impact survey. The survey applies to filming, overnight accommodations, basecamps, parking, holding, or catering.

Pre-Covid, Westchester was the busiest County for film production in New York State, outside of New York City.  It’s also growing. Westchester has seen a steady rise in film production. Award-winning, popular shows are filming here: FBI and FBI: Most Wanted (CBS), The Blacklist (NBC), Law & Order: SVU (NBC), Only Murders in the Building (Hulu), and The Flight Attendant, The Gilded Age, and Succession (all on HBO). Westchester recently hosted AppleTV+, which filmed several episodes for its upcoming series, “The Crowded Room,” here in the County.

Partners can find the link to the survey on our website at the Westchester County Tourism website. The Office for Tourism & Film is collecting responses until Friday, Oct.14.
