A graduation ceremony is a rite of passage that occurs when scholars close the chapter on one part of their educational career, and embark upon another. It is a time of accomplishment, a time of reflection, a time of hope for a promising future – and a celebration for all who have worked so hard to earn their diploma. Although the COVID-19 pandemic may have altered traditional graduation ceremonies, Westchester County Government still wanted to make sure that every graduate felt recognized for achieving this important milestone.

Community leaders, elected officials, teachers, parents, grandparents, friends and siblings all submitted short congratulatory messages and photographs to the Westchester County Communications Department. They were compiled into a compilation video, Graduation Greetings 2020.

As Westchester County’s Graduating Class of 2020 celebrates its commencement, we hope you know that we are proud of you, and we wish you the best of luck on your journey.
