October 23, 2019 – In an effort to further improve Westchester County’s infrastructure, County Executive George Latimer has included $2,370,000 of funding for the repaving of Lincoln Avenue in Pelham.

Latimer said: “Our 2020 Capital Program is about continuing the work that we were elected to do. Taking care of our infrastructure is a top priority of my Administration and this stretch of Lincoln Avenue is badly in need of repairs. This project, along with many others included in our Capital program, will be a major benefit to businesses in the area and commuters who often travel it.”

This capital project – ID# RB175 - will fund the rehabilitation of approximately 0.46 miles of roadway from the New Rochelle/Pelham Line to First Avenue. The work will include milling and resurfacing of the roadway, curbing and drainage repairs; guiderail replacement; new traffic signal loops; new pavement markings and associated work.

County Legislator Terry Clements, who requested funding for this project be included in the 2020 Capital Project Budget, said: “This is a major thoroughfare from New Rochelle and Pelham to the Hutchinson River Parkway that is heavily trafficked and in great need of repair. This work will make this vital regional roadway safer and reduce noise levels as traffic travels through our residential communities. I'd like to thank County Executive George Latimer for including this work in the 2020 Capital Budget.”
