January 17, 2019 - Snow, rain, ice, wind and low temperatures are all coming to Westchester County this weekend. As the County braces for snow tonight, a more serious weather event is expected to hit Saturday into Sunday. The County’s Department of Public Works and Transportation has already brined the Bronx River Parkway, the only road the County is responsible for maintaining. Crews are on standby to respond to Friday’s winter event, and re-brine before Saturday’s winter storm moves into the area. During Saturdays Night’s storm into Sunday there may be curtailment on certain Bee-Line routes. County officials are monitoring the weather situation closely, and the Emergency Operations Center in Hawthorne will open in response to the storm.
