“Finally, Westchester County’s largest labor union has a contract. After the contract’s approval by the Board of Legislators this evening, I immediately signed the deal officially bringing this years-long saga to a close during the 10th month of my four-year term as County Executive.
“Make no mistake about it, this contact is a good deal for both the dedicated workers who make up our County’s workforce and the hardworking taxpayers of Westchester County.
“This 10-year deal would not have happened without the good faith negotiations by CSEA and the hard work of numerous departments in my Administration. This contract is representative of the resolve we here in County Government have to face the big challenges head-on and find amicable solutions that will help put Westchester on the best fiscal footing going forward.”
