August 7, 2018 -- Westchester County Police will be hosting a community event in Mount Kisco today as part of National Night Out activities occurring nationwide. In addition, the County Police will participate in events being held in Yonkers and New Rochelle.

In Mount Kisco, the County Police event will feature the following assets:

  • Mobile Command Post
  • Operation Safe Child ID Card Station
  • K-9 Demonstration
  • Emergency Service Unit Vehicle Display
  • Motorcycle Display
  • Police Bicycle Display.

The Aviation Unit will participate in National Night Out by landing one of its helicopters at two events organized by the Yonkers Police Department. The helicopter will remain at each event for about an hour. The first landing is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Sullivan Oval Park in the 3rd Precinct. The second landing is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Andrus Park in the 1st Precinct.

The Aviation Unit helicopter is also scheduled to do a flyover at the New Rochelle Police Department event around 8 p.m. That event is being held at New Rochelle Police Department Headquarters/City Hall.      

National Night Out promotes community building and police-community partnerships to make neighborhoods safer and enhance the relationship between residents and law enforcement.
