Feb. 27, 2018 -- Residents and bus riders can learn more about a current study of Bee-Line Bus service between 242nd Street, Bronx and Getty Square, Yonkers at a public meeting to be held on March 8 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at the Riverfront Public Library in Yonkers.

The 242nd Street/Getty Square corridor is served by the Bee-Line Routes 1, 2 and 3. This corridor is one of the busiest in Westchester County, with nearly 300 Route 1/2/3 trips generating approximately 17,000 passengers each weekday. The Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation is seeking opportunities to improve the operational efficiency along the corridor in order to best serve the needs of its users.

The public meeting is intended to provide an overview of the corridor as it currently operates, and receive feedback from the public regarding their transit experiences. The meeting will consist of a short presentation with the majority of time allocated to obtaining public input. Some potential improvement strategies will be discussed as well.
