Jenkins said: “Our commitment to fighting crime in Westchester County is stronger than ever. We’ve invested in the Westchester County Department of Public Safety at record levels because we are dedicated to keeping this County safe for all of us. This progress is thanks, in large part, to the dedication and bravery of our law enforcement officers.”

The decline in crime is also a testament to the strong partnerships between law enforcement, community leaders and residents. By working together, Westchester County has created safer neighborhoods and a stronger sense of security among its residents.

Jenkins, whose father was a New York City Police Officer, said: “This decrease in crime is a direct result of our collective efforts and commitment to ensuring that every resident not only is safe - but feels safe.”
