On Nov. 28, Westchester County Executive George Latimer raised the Albanian Flag outside the Michaelian Office Building in White Plains. The flag raising ceremony was held in honor of Albanian Independence Day, which commemorates the signing of the Albanian Declaration of Independence on Nov. 28, 1912. Today marks the 110th Albania Independence Day.
Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “Westchester County salutes the Albanian community on Albanian Independence Day, and every day. In Westchester, we take pride in celebrating all of the various ethnic communities that make up wonderful County.”
