As Westchester County residents continue to deal with adversity that comes with the upheaval of everyday life, County Executive George Latimer understands the added stressors facing parents now tasked with maintaining their child’s engagement and development.

As he did in a previous video, here Latimer reads to children as we once again hope to provide a brief respite from the challenges facing you and your family. In this video, Latimer reads ‘Dinosaurs Love Underpants’ written by Claire Freedman and illustrated by Ben Cort.

Author Claire Freedman said: “I know life is topsy-turvy for you all at the moment, but remember, learning and reading and writing is still very important. Books are fun - they can make you laugh, or teach you, or you can go on adventures with the characters. So keep reading and maybe write your own stories too, and enjoy my story!”

We encourage Westchester residents to film themselves reading to loved ones at home and use #MyWestchester & #WestchesterLovesToRead.
