March 1, 2019 - Late this afternoon the Westchester County Health Department was notified that a Monroe College student was diagnosed with measles. The student, who is a resident of New York City, had traveled to the College’s New Rochelle campus. The Westchester County Health Department is now working closely with Monroe College to help notify those who may have been exposed and render treatment. Anyone who believes they may have been exposed should contact their healthcare provider.
MMR vaccine, which covers measles, mumps and rubella, is available by appointment for adults and children who are uninsured or underinsured, and for college students at County clinics in White Plains and Yonkers. Call 914-995-5800 for an appointment.
