December 18, 2018 – Westchester County Executive George Latimer was joined by the Katonah Chamber of Commerce, Bedford Town Supervisor Chris Burdick, County Legislator Kitley Covill, State Assemblyman David Buchwald and State Senator Shelley Mayer as they toured small businesses on Katonah Ave. in an effort to promote shopping local this holiday season.
Latimer said: “These merchants, along Katonah Ave. and all across our County, are the backbone of our communities. They are philanthropic, they do a variety of things year round to help their communities function, they interact with our school system as well as our local governments – and this is the big time of year for them. We hope that residents will use this option and shop local.”
