Highlights of the year included the signing of the 2025 Westchester County Operating Budget, marking the sixth consecutive year without a tax levy increase for residents. The County also received a prestigious "AAA" credit rating from Fitch Ratings, a decline in crime rates, increased funding for public safety initiatives and the addition of new affordable housing units. Several key infrastructure projects were also announced, including the rehabilitation of the Glen Island Bridge in New Rochelle.

Latimer said the success of 2024 would not have been possible without the dedication of Westchester County Government’s employees: “The County workforce always provides an exceptional level of services that our residents rely on. I am confident that Westchester County’s best days are still ahead, and we will continue to make great strides in 2025. As I prepare to take the next step in my public service journey, I wish you all a peaceful and prosperous New Year.”
