Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins Statement on Australian Attack on Jewish Community

“In light of the horrific shooting in Australia, the Westchester County Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center and Intelligence Unit are actively monitoring all known holiday-related activities and scheduled events in Westchester. Patrol resources are being directed to houses of worship throughout the County as a precautionary measure. In addition, the County Police will be coordinating with the Westchester County Chiefs of Police Association to keep all agencies apprised of related events and to encourage patrols of houses of worship in their respective jurisdictions. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and the communities impacted by the tragic acts of violence in Australia and at Brown University.”
