The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYSOCFS) designates the Westchester County Youth Bureau as its agent for distribution of Special Delinquency Prevention Program (SDPP), Youth Development/Delinquency Prevention Program (YDDP) - Youth Services and Youth Initiatives funding in Westchester County.  The Westchester County Youth Bureau discharges its responsibilities for administering these three funding streams through annual application and contract processes with not-for-profit agencies.

Funding parameters for Special Delinquency Prevention Programs, Youth Services and Youth Initiatives are determined by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.  Funding priorities are refined by Westchester County Youth Bureau through its Comprehensive Youth Services Planning Process and Annual Plan.  Through an annual Request for Proposals, Westchester County seeks proposals from not-for-profit organizations which meet the requirements of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and Westchester County for distribution of the annual allocation of Special Delinquency Prevention Program funding, Youth Development/Delinquency Prevention-Youth Services funding and Youth Development/Delinquency Prevention - Youth Initiative funding.
