What is All Kids' HealthCare? |
|
All Kids HealthCare is a campaign developed by
Westchester County to enroll children in free or low-cost health
insurance coverage. Who is
eligible? In New York State, all children under 19 are
eligible to receive free or low-cost health insurance under one of two
programs: Medicaid or Child Health Plus. You may be eligible regardless
or your income or immigration status. Pregnant women are also eligible
for healthcare coverage. What type of health care is covered? Regular medical check-ups, dental visits, eye exams and eyeglasses, mental health services, prescription drugs, hospital care and much more. Do I have to
pay anything for health insurance?
How much you pay depends on how much your family earns. For some families, health insurance is free. Some families have to pay a small monthly amount, usually about $15.
