Women's Health Partnership

The Women’s Health Partnership (WHP) was founded in 2000 and is dedicated to identifying and responding to the health needs of women in Westchester.  It was formed as a joint venture between the Westchester County Office for Women and the Westchester County Department of Health.  It is co-chaired by Camille Failla Murphy, Director of the Westchester County Office for Women and Dr. Mary E. Lane, former Director of Women and Youth Services for the Westchester County Department of Health.

The Women’s Health Partnership is under the umbrella of the Community Partnerships for a Healthy Westchester, which was formed in 1998 under the leadership of County Executive Andy Spano to bring the County Health Department, non-profit groups, and area businesses together to work on Westchester’s most pressing public health issues.

The WHP became the fourth task force to join the Community Health Partnership.  Previously established task forces are:  Child Health, Environmental Health and Tobacco Prevention.

For more information about health research, services, and public and health professional education for women, visit the Women's Health Website. Some informative videos regarding health issues include the process and benefits of "It's My HealthCare" (13:17 min.), the county's fitness initiative "Be Fit Westchester" (00:22 min), and avoiding trans fat (03:01 min.) in your diet.
