Domestic violence trainings are offered to medical facilities throughout Westchester for doctors, nurses and other medical staff. Training materials are availale for each attendee. The trainings include:
- screening for domestic violence with ER patients
- understanding the dynamics of domestic violence evidence collection
- use of the Polaroid camera for documenting injuries
Each medical facility receives a Polaroid Law Enforcement Spectra 3 Camera Kit provided by the Westchester County Executive to help document injuries for victims of domestic violence in their emergency rooms.
