The Office for Women (OFW) works to ensure equal rights for all women. We support women in difficult circumstances and celebrate their strengths and achievements. We advance the cause of women, support them in their choices and serve their needs.
We are starting another series of Women's Point of View workshops and need your input. Please complete a brief survey and tell us what you would like to learn.
This is our 25th anniversary of the Women's Hall of Fame and Scholarship Awards Program. Our 2009 honoree is Patricia Lanza, a Westchester philanthropist and reliable supporter of many organizations that help women, children and families in need. This year, we awarded scholarships to 42 deserving young women to help further their education.
A person with a disability can be especially vulnerable to domestic violence. To document the problem, Westchester County is conducting a survey of those organizations that work with women and men with disabilities. The survey form was created from a collaboration of the Office for Women and Office for the Disabled and is available online. The Office for the Disabled's "Out and About" newsletter also includes additional information and resources.
Subscribe to our free quick news updates. By subscribing, you will periodically receive e-mails regarding information on our upcoming programs/workshops, scholarship opportunities, and other benefits/services available to women.
