96 threadlike glass strands with plastic/metal sheathing all enwrapped in an additional protective jacket (as shown in the picture).
Only 2 pairs of fiber per site. The 1st pair is used for bi-directional traffic; the 2nd pair ensures redundancy.
Bandwidth is continuously upgradeable.
Since the County will only use a small fraction of the total bandwidth, the remainder may be used for economic development.
