Incorporation record, The Colored Race National Baptist Home Mission Society of America, 1908

Trustee's Annual Report/School Census for Harrison, NY, 1857. This school report notes the family names and numbers of children ages 4-21 in School District #4, Harrison, which contained "The Hills". Incorporation of the Colored Race National Baptist Home Mission Society, 1908. Churches and other religious bodies often collect information of interest to family researchers. A New York State law of 1784 required incorporation of religious bodies, which papers were filed by the County Clerk. The Colored Race National Baptist Home Mission Society, while headquartered in Yonkers, had a national purpose of religious and educational work among the black Baptists of America.
