When your pet
goes on the lawn, does
it just stay on the lawn?

Animal waste, if not properly disposed of, can spread bacteria that can wash into our storm drains and pollute our water. What can you do? Scoop up pet waste and flush it down the toilet, or place it in a plastic bag and dispose of it in the garbage. Never dump pet waste in storm drains or catch basins.

Call the Westchester County Department of Health at 813-5000 for information.
