Benefits
We can advise and assist you in filing and cutting the red tape. Our office staff includes two certified Veterans Service Officers and a network of people, agencies and other support functions to help veterans and their families.
A summary of the various benefits you may be entitled to as a veteran or as relative of a veteran.  
In most cases, to be elegible for federal, state or local benefits as a veteran you must have an honorable discharge. Find out if you are eligible for veteran benefits.
If you are disabled by injury or disease incurred or aggravated during active military service, you may be eligible for monatary compenstation. Find out more.
The Veterans Service Agency can assist veterans in filing for their discharge records (DD214), and placing them on file in the Westchester County Clerk's office for safe keeping.
Veterans Identification Card Day is a convenient service to the veterans enrolling in the V.A. Healthcare System. Once a month you can receive help completing the financial statement, and annual income questionnaire.

As a veteran, you may be eligible for reductions in your local property taxes. This varies from community-to-community. 
Veterans with low incomes who are permanently and totally disabled may be eligible for monetary support if they have 90 days or more of active military service,  at least one day of which was during a period of war. Find out more information regarding your pension.
Veterans are eligible for burian benefits in a VA National Cemetery. Benefits include the grave site and  headstone or marker, among other things.
County Veterans Service Officers are authorized to present claims for further development, institute appeals from VA decisions and follows through to final representative, the County Veterans Service Officers serve as liaisons assisting veterans and their families.
