Gas prices are up five cents from last month and up about 60 cents from a year ago, according to the Consumer Department's latest gasoline price survey.

The survey of 350 stations in the county found the average price for regular is $3.069.

Driver's can save money by checking the survey results and will find many stations in the county selling gasoline for less than $3.00 a gallon. The gas price survey is conducted monthly, but prices are surveyed more frequently during times of sudden price swings.
