On a monthly basis, the Westchester County Board of Health meets to review violations of the Sanitary Code and issue violations and penalties.
The Westchester County Sanitary Code consists of laws enforced by the Westchester County Board of Health and the Westchester County Department of Health to assure the health of the public.
Under this law, tanning beds are off-limits to children under the age of 16. For older teens (16- & 17-year-olds), a parent or guardian must appear in person and provide written permission at the tanning salon.
