It’s that time of year again — when the West Nile Virus, caused by mosquitoes, and standing water caused by the recent flooding, is a very serious concern.
The Westchester County Health Department is reminding each residents to do their part to protect themselves and the community. The most important thing is to get rid of standing water around the house where mosquitoes breed. Other information about the disease and precautions may be found here.
