Volunteer and Get Involved
There are many ways we can use your services as a volunteer. The county works with the Volunteer Center to make it easy for you to find the right place and right cause to help. Hundreds of non-profit local organizations are looking for volunteers to do everything from mentoring youth to leading tours of historic sites. Love history? Volunteers are needed to assist patrons, conduct research projects, plan exhibits or do other tasks.
The Volunteer Center, in coordination with Westchester County’s Department of Emergency Services, is recruiting and training volunteers in emergency preparedness and response.
Get your organization involved in maintaining a park by “adopting” one. Westchester County’s Adopt-a-Park program promotes public involvement in the maintenance, improvement and support of the nearly 18,000-acre Westchester County Park system.
You can become a volunteer at Westchester Community College and make a difference in a student’s life. 
 
Through our Citizen Volunteer Monitoring program, we keep an eye on the quality of our water. Volunteers, who we train, take water samples from streams and other waterways.
