File a Complaint or FOIL

We want to hear from you. Sure, we like to hear positive things, but there are other times you may want to lodge a formal complaint about something, whether its about a sewer that smells, discrimination, a merchant or contractor (positive or negative), or even airport noise. Perhaps you want to file a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request.

Discrimination Complaints

Westchester has a Human Rights Law and enforces other state and federal laws dealing with discrimination.

Road Complaints

Some roads in Westchester are maintained by the county government, others by federal or local governments. If you have a complaint about one of the roads we mantain, please complete this form.

Consumer Complaints

If you have a complaint about a merchant, product or contractor, the county’s Department of Consumer Protection might be able to help. You may use this form.

FOIL Requests

If you wish to make a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request for documents by e-mail, use this form. Your request will be sent to the appropriate county department.

Sewer Odors

The Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities works to minimize odors from sewer plants it operates. If you are having a problem, please let us know by submitting this form.

Airport Noise

Westchester County tries to keep noise from the Westchester County Airport at a minimum by having a voluntary night-time curfew on flights in and out of the airport. If you have a complaint about noise, let us know by using this form.
