What are Emergency Services?

Emergency Services is a Department of Social Services after hour, weekend, and holiday mandated program responsible for receiving referrals and assessing the need for, arranging, and providing emergency services to adult individuals, children, and families in crisis situations.

What services are provided?

Services which may be provided include:

  • Adult Protective Services
  • Runaway Services
  • Foster Care Services
  • Domestic Violence Services
  • Family Housing Assistance
  • Single Adult Housing Assistance
  • Homemaker Services
  • Preventive Services
  • General Information and Referral Services

When and how do I call for such services?

The Emergency Hotline 24 hour 7 day phone number is 914-995-2099.  Staff is in the office Monday to Friday, 4:00 P.M. to 12:00 A.M. midnight.  County Police will answer Monday to Friday, 12:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M., round the clock weekends and holidays, and refer to Emergency Services.  Monday to Friday 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. the phone is answered by the Office of Child Protective Services at 112 East Post Rd., White Plains.
