Building and Managing the Workforce of the Future:
Technology, Travel and Telecommuting

The Westchester County Department of Transportation, the Westchester County Association, and MetroPool, in association with On-Ramp@Home Solutions, present "Building and Managing the Workforce of the Future: Technology, Travel and Telecommuting". This conference has been developed to inform area businesses about one of the important solutions to area traffic congestion.

Attendees will hear from a national expert about new products and services geared specifically to telecommuters, how to leverage these products and services to support and manage today’s workforce, and how innovative local business leaders are reshaping the workforce and workplace, replacing travel with technology. Find out why roughly 24% of the U.S. workforce are estimated to telecommute some time during each week, with over 75 million employees worldwide expected to work remotely by the end of 2002.

Presentations will include information about trends and strategies in the adoption of telecommuting, policies, support systems, products and services designed to decrease emphasis on travel with technology solutions. The target audience includes Telecommuters, Senior Executives, Corporate Financial Analysts, Department Sales and Service Management, MIS and IT Management, Human Resource Management and Home-Based Small Business owners. Attendees will hear about today’s telecommuting “movement”, along with testimonials from area companies, providing valuable and unique insight into innovative workplace solutions here in Westchester. Learn how to leverage remote work arrangements for competitive advantage, important home office issues, and leading edge technology, process and management "best practice" developments.

Conference Fees are $30 for WCA or MetroPool members, $35 for non-members.
