The Westchester Department of Senior Programs and Services is located in a distinctive and historic 10-story building in downtown Mount Vernon.  Known locally as the "Con Edison Building" it is located at the corner of South First Avenue and East First Street, very near the Mount Vernon Public Library, the main branch of the city's post office, and the downtown Mount Vernon Metro North commuter train station on the New Haven line.

Visitors to the Department of Senior Programs and Services may enter the building through the Executive Entrance located on South First Avenue.  Metered parking is available on the street.

By parkway from Yonkers and points West:
Cross County Parkway (East) to West Broad Street/Gramatan Avenue (Mount Vernon) exit 7.  Continue straight at light onto Fleetwood Avenue, continue past next light, bear right onto Gramatan Avenue.  Continue for approximately 1 mile, after crossing railroad overpass, turn left onto First Street.  Office is 2 blocks down, on right.  

By parkway from White Plains and points North: 
1. Bronx River Parkway (South) to Cross County Parkway (East) to West Broad Street/Gramatan Avenue (Mount Vernon) exit 7.  Then, same as directions from Yonkers.

2. Hutchinson River Parkway (South) to Lincoln Avenue exit 12.  Turn right at first stop sign on ramp, make left at light onto Lincoln Avenue (West).  Continue on Lincoln Avenue about 1 mile to North Fulton Avenue.  Turn left onto Fulton Avenue.  Continue on Fulton Avenue about 1/2 mile, cross railroad bridge, turn right onto First Street.  The office is 3 blocks west, on the left.

By local road from downtown Yonkers:
Follow Yonkers Avenue east into Mount Vernon (becomes Mount Vernon Avenue after passing beneath first railroad).  Continue 7 blocks, make first left after overpass crossing second railroad, onto First Street (also known as Thomas E. Sharpe Boulevard).  Office is 10 blocks east, on the right side of the street.

By local road from downtown New Rochelle:
Take North Avenue OR Memorial Highway (also known as Norman Rockwell Boulevard) north to Lincoln Avenue.  Turn left, continue West on Lincoln Avenue through Pelham, into Mount Vernon.  Approximately 1 mile past Hutchinson River Parkway, turn left onto North Fulton Avenue.  Continue on Fulton toward downtown about 1/2 mile, cross railroad bridge, turn right onto First Street.  The office is 3 blocks west, on the left.

By local road from downtown White Plains:
Travel south on East Post Road (Route 22).  Continue south through Scarsdale, Eastchester Tuckahoe and Bronxville (still Route 22, but name changes to White Plains Rd), and into Mount Vernon (where name changes again to become North Columbus Avenue).  Follow Columbus Avenue 1/2 mile past entrance to Cross County Parkway, turn right onto Lincoln Avenue.  After 3 blocks, turn left onto North Fulton Avenue.  Continue on Fulton toward downtown about 1/2 mile, cross railroad bridge, turn right onto First Street.  The office is 3 blocks west, on the left. 

By rail:
The office is located next to the (downtown) Mount Vernon station of the New Haven division of Metro North.  This line also provides service to Pelham, New Rochelle, Mamaroneck, Rye and Port Chester.

Please note that the Fleetwood and Mount Vernon West stations are on a different rail line (Harlem division) which does not provide service to the area in which our office is located.
