Be Fit
Be Fit Westchester was created to encourage residents to incorporate healthy eating habits and more physical activities into their daily routines. The county sponsors activities and programs throughout the year to provide opportunities for people to start a personal fitness program. The aim is to improve health, reducing the cost of health care and increasing personal productivity.

In this section you can find out about ways to get in shape at our county parks, along our hiking trails or through our mall walking program. We have a special program for children called Fit Kids, which works with schools to help children learn about good nutrition and get more physical activity. The county’s Trans Fat Web pages lists restaurants that have pledged to cook in oils without unhealthy trans fats.

Subscribe to our Be Fit e-bulletin to receive regular updates on activities and information to help you get in shape with a personal fitness plan.
