Naturalization Records, 1808-1927 -- Personal Name Index

Records Description:  Index created by Archives' staff and volunteers from individual volume indexes and individual documents from 5 separate record series (Series 6, 11, 13, 15, and 33) containing declarations and petitions documenting immigrants' applications for citizenship.  Use the following links to learn more about the types of information available in naturalization records and to view sample images of the naturalization records held by the Westchester County Archives.

Index Status:  Most of the naturalization records dated between 1808 and 1927 held by the Archives have been indexed.  However, some records have only recently been discovered to have not yet been indexed, including several books primarily covering the city of Yonkers.  Efforts are currently being made to index those records through 1927.  In addition, Series 14, Rejected Petitions, have not yet been included in the index.  If you suspect that a naturalization record is held by the Westchester County Archives but you are unable to locate the name in this online index, you can submit a Custom Research Request to locate the information.
