Welcome to the "Protect The Kids" Website
As County Executive, one of my primary concerns
is making Westchester County a safe place for our
children.
In November 2002, I created the “Protect The Kids” committee
to recommend ways to protect the community from
sex offenders and to end inconsistencies in the way they are sentenced and monitored.
The committee
is made up of professionals from a myriad of
disciplines, including the judiciary, social services, the legal
community, law enforcement, treatment providers, mental health and
education.
This website has been developed
by the committee to help the public
answer questions about identification and prevention
of child abuse as well as to provide resources for victims and
offenders.
