On behalf of County Executive Andrew J. Spano, I would like to thank you for your interest in participating in the Citizen Police Academy sponsored by the Westchester County Police Department of Public Safety. I am very excited at the prospect of sharing with you a unique experience to learn more about the Westchester County Police, who we are, what we do, how we do it, and how we are trained to administer our professional responsibilities. County Executive Spano and I are proud to be able to offer this program. Upon enrolling in the program, you will embark on a ten-week training curriculum designed to help you develop an understanding of the criminal justice system, and how we use the many tools of our trade. I believe that you will find this to be a most informative experience, as it will include many inter-active training opportunities, which will enhance your ability to learn. While the program is intense, it is also geared for non-sworn trainees, providing ample opportunity for instructor-trainee interaction and resourceful dialogue. This packet
