
1-APPLICATION
FORM:
Answer all questions.
Notarize applicant's signature.
2-REGISTRATION
Supply a copy of motor vehicle registration.
3-PROOF
OF INSURANCE:
Supply a photocopy of your "Accord
Certificate" of liability insurance
page of your insurance policy. WCTLC must be
named as
Certificate Holder. FH-1
card alone will not
be accepted as proof.
All vehicles with a seating capacity of more than 5 but
less than 20
passengers must maintain insurance coverage of $500,000 / $1,000,000.
All others must maintain NY State minimum liability
insurance.
4-DRIVER
LICENSE:
Supply a photocopy of your driver license. Also,
bring license with you
for identification.
5-BASE
STATION AFFILIATION LETTER:
Supply a letter on base station letterhead acknowledging
your affiliation
with that base station. The letter must be notarized
or have the
corporation seal. It must also include the VIN and
license plate number
of the affiliated vehicle.
6-TRANSFER:
If you currently hold a WCTLC vehicle permit and
purchase a new
car or change license plates then you must
obtain a new permit
with the updated vehicle information. You must
supply all of the above
(using a Vehicle Renewal Application) plus supply a
Plate Surrender
form from the Department of Motor Vehicle (if a new
plate was
obtained) and the old WCTLC vehicle permit.
7-PAYMENT:
Provide two separate money orders or company checks.
a) FINGERPRINTING FEE --- $80, make payable to
"Westchester County".
(Fingerprinting fee not required for renewal applicants)
b) REGISTRATION FEE --- $300 for In-County
(Westchester
Based)
vehicle make payable to "WCTLC".
$275 for Out-County vehicle
(Non-Westchester Based), make
payable to "WCTLC".
c) LATE FEE (Renewal applicants
only) - - Renewal applicants
that are registering their
vehicles late are required to pay an
additional $25,
make payable to "WCTLC".
d) TRANSFER FEE (Current permit holders only) - -
$25, make
payable to "WCTLC".
8-FINES:
All outstanding fines owed to WCTLC must be paid before
submitting
your application.
