The county offers many helpful resources and programs for teachers
Do you know a middle or high school student whose academic talents or interests lean toward a career in medicine? If so, then encourage them to come to the Rx for Succes: Dare to Be a Doctor conference.
Taking place on October 18 at the County Center, the conference will introduce students to how they can pursue a fulfilling career in the medical field. They'll be inspired by the three key-note speakers -- three African-Americans who left the city streets, followed their dreams and became nationally renowned doctors known as "The Three Doctors." More information will be distributed to schools to promote awareness and encourage participation in September.
