NY State Office of Children and Family Services (NYSOCFS)

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYSOCFS) designates the Westchester County Youth Bureau as its agent for distribution of four funding streams.  Youth Development/Delinquency Prevention Program - Youth Services (YDPP-YS), Youth Initiatives Funding (YDPP-YI), Special Delinquency Prevention Program (SDPP), and Runaway and Homeless Youth Act Funding (RHYA). The Westchester County Youth Bureau discharges its responsibilities for administering these four funding streams through annual application and contract processes with not-for-profit agencies.

Funding parameters for the four funding streams are set by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.  Funding priorities are determined by the Westchester County Youth Bureau through Integrated Services Planning Processes. Through use of Request for Proposals, Westchester County seeks proposals from not-for-profit organizations that meet the requirements of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and Westchester County for distribution of funding.
