One of popular culture’s most iconic heroes tackles a new foe on a 65-foot-high screen when this summer’s “Screenings under the Stars” Free Outdoor Movies series concludes with a showing of blockbuster smash "The Dark Knight" (2008, PG-13) on Thursday, Aug. 20.

Prior to the start of the movie, there’ll be plenty of entertainment with a deejay beginning at 6 p.m. The movies begin at sundown.

In this sequel to "Batman Begins," Batman (played by Christian Bale), Lieutenant James Gordon (Gary Oldman), and new district attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) successfully begin to round up the criminals that plague Gotham City until a mysterious and sadistic criminal mastermind known only as the Joker (Heath Ledger) appears in Gotham, creating a new wave of chaos. Batman's struggle against the Joker becomes deeply personal, forcing him to "confront everything he believes" and improve his technology to stop him. Running time is 152 minutes.
The Kensico Dam Plaza is located at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla near the Valhalla MetroNorth train station and can be reached via Route 22 or the Taconic State Parkway.
