The first of 95 newly purchased hybrid buses have hit the streets in Westchester County. The new Bee-Line buses will replace nearly a third of the county’s entire bus fleet by the end of the year – a step designed to reduce the carbon footprint and promote its climate change strategy. 
As part of an ongoing effort to get everyone thinking about improving the environment, Westchester County is launching a series of Sustainability Forums, designed to engage every community in the county.
Celebrate green, sustainable living on April 19 at Kensico Dam Plaza, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities include live music, green raffles and giveaways, an Earth Day Farmers Market and an exhibit of alternative fuel vehicles. Free admission and parking.
