WESTCHESTER COUNTY SUMMER ECOLOGY CAMPS

Conservationists-in-Training
Learn Leadership Skills and Develop
Environmental and Self-Awareness

Mature boys and girls who want to explore the natural world at a deeper level while experiencing what it means to work as a team in this program. Emphasis is placed on developing the observation skills of a naturalist and a more personal relationship with nature. Participants assist with plant, animal and habitat conservation efforts in the park, and complete a service project. Overnight campout usually takes place on the second Tuesday of each session. For students entering grades 7, 8 and 9.

Typical activities

Survival skills, field biology, team building, radio telemetry, trail maintenance, orienteering, camping, habitat monitoring techniques, wildlife biology

Two-Week Sessions
Session A: July 7 - 13 & July 14 - 18
Session B: July 21 - 25 & July 28 - August 1
Session C: August 4 - 8 & August 11 - 15
Mondays and Fridays, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

$700 per session.
Bring a picnic lunch and water.
