COUNTY PARKS SWIMMING SCHEDULE

Playland’s new Pay-One-Price Allows
Residents Unlimited Access to Pool, Beach & Rides
County Parks Commissioner
Joseph A. Stout announced today that the beaches at Playland Park in
Rye, Glen Island Park in New Rochelle and Croton Point Park in
Croton-on-Hudson will be open beginning Memorial Day weekend, Saturday,
Sunday and Monday, May 23, 24 and 25.
After Memorial Day, all three beaches will
be open weekends only until Thursday, June 25, when all county-owned pools
and beaches will be open daily for the summer season, with the following
exceptions: Croton Point Beach will be open weekends only through Labor Day;
Glen Island beach will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays; and Playland beach
will be closed on Mondays. All beaches are open on holidays.
Swimming hours at all facilities are 11 a.m.
to 6:30 p.m., with no admittance after 6 p.m.
ADMISSION FEES AT COUNTY
BEACHES (except Playland)
Swimming fees at Glen Island are $4 for
adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 11; children under 5 are admitted free.
Seniors pay $2 on weekdays only (except holidays) with a valid Westchester
County Senior Citizen Park Pass. Parking is $4. A Westchester County Park
Pass is required for admittance.
Swimming at Croton Point Park is free;
parking is $4 with a County Park Pass and $8 without the Pass.
ADMISSION FEES AT COUNTY POOLS (except
Playland)
Saxon Woods Pool
in White Plains, Sprain Ridge Pool in Yonkers and Willson’s
Waves in Mount Vernon will be open for weekends only beginning
Saturday, June 13; then daily beginning Thursday, June 25,
through Labor Day. A Park Pass is required for admittance to all pools
except Playland. Fees are $6 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under, $4
for seniors weekdays only. Parking is included in admission fees. The pool
at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers will be closed for renovations this
summer.
A Season Swim Pass is available for
families, individuals and seniors citizens for Westchester County resident
Park Pass holders only. The pass can be purchased and used at all swimming
facilities except at Playland.
ADMISSION FEES AT
PLAYLAND POOL AND BEACH
New this year is Playland’s special
Pay-One-Price admission wristband, which offers Westchester residents
unlimited rides at the amusement park, along with access to the pool, beach
and mini-golf course. Rates are $25
for adults, $20 after 6 p.m., with children under 36 inches tall admitted
free with an adult wristband purchase (limit of two children per adult
wristband). Proof of county residency must be provided with a New York
State-issued driver’s license or photo I.D., a Westchester County Park Pass,
Westchester County school photo I.D., or a credit card with ZIP code
verification.
Fees for Playland beach are
$4 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 11; under 5 years old are
admitted free. Seniors pay $2 on weekdays only (except holidays) with a
valid Westchester County Senior Citizen Park Pass. A special rate is
available for use of both the beach and pool.
Fees for Playland Pool are
as follows: $6 for adults, $5 with a Park Pass; $4 for children 12 and
under, $3.50 with a Park Pass; children under 5 are admitted free. Seniors
with a Westchester County Senior Citizen Park Pass pay $4 on weekdays only
(except holidays). Playland Pool will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays this
summer.
Parking fees are $4 on weekdays, $5 on
weekends and holidays.
