The W.P.A Gallery
Situated across from the Gallery in the Park, the newly renovated W.P.A.
(Works Progress Administration) Gallery inhabits the former visitor's
center that was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937.
Established by President Franklin D. Roosevelt during the Great
Depression, the WPA was the largest of his New Deal programs designed to
create projects to provide jobs for Americans who were out of work.
This gallery exhibits works presented by various artists and rotates the
art every few weeks.
