2008 Youth Recognition Awards

Ten Westchester high school seniors, who have shown exceptional commitment to their local communities, have been selected as the 2008 recipients of the Westchester County Youth Board’s Youth Recognition Award. The 10 were honored at a dinner and received various gifts and a plaque.

“These extraordinary young men and women of the high school class of 2009 are role models to today’s youth” said County Executive Spano, “Through their work in their communities they have touched the lives of many individuals. This ceremony is Westchester County’s way of showing that we care about and honor these youths for their exceptional efforts.”

The aim of the Westchester County Youth Recognition Awards is to recognize high school seniors of the Class of 2009 who have been involved in building a flourishing, strong and compassionate community through individual efforts and actions.
